The aim of the Mountain Skills Scheme is to give you the skills to be a safe, competent and self sufficient hill walker and mountain navigator. As well as map reading, compass skills and navigation skills, we also cover emergency procedures, route planning/route cards, hypothermia, equipment, leave no trace.
